What KidzArt Students do during each Session?

When and Where KidzArt classes are held?

KidzArt classes are available through Local Frederick Schools, County and City Parks and Recreation Facilities, Private Schools, Churches. KidzArt is offered as a complementary and extracurricular enrichment program and can be offered as well as a core art program for private and charter schools during the school day. KidzArt also offers exciting programs for: Home School Groups, Birthday Parties, Adult Parties – “Girlz Night Out”, Fundraisers and Camps, and SeniorArt. Who provides class instruction?

All KidzArt instructors have had a background check through a multi-state database search and are fully certified by KidzArt. KidzArt Certified Instructors go through comprehensive training on the KidzArt method. Many have classroom experience, are elementary teachers or are artists themselves. The KidzArt program is a national program and its methods have been proven for over 15 years!

After KidzArt class, do I need to pick up my child from the KidzArt classroom?

To ensure the safety of every child, all children are picked up from the assigned KidzArt classroom, unless you inform us on your registration form of other arrangements - for example "return to after school care", "walk home", or "meet in front of the school". Please make any special requests in writing or inform us on your registration form. Every child's safety is our #1 concern. Please discuss any questions or drop off and pick up delays with your KidzArt Instructor or email info@kidzartfrederick.com.

Does my child need to bring anything?

No, KidzArt provides all artist-quality supplies.

Are KidzArt classes or sessions different?

Yes, KidzArt is unique because our curriculum never repeats. Every 6 Week Session has a different theme and includes various media.

What types of media are introduced throughout the year?

KidzArt features artist quality media such as Prismacolor Markers, ArtStix, Acrylic Paints, Watercolor Pencils and Paints, Oil and Chalk Pastels and Charcoal. KidzArt also introduces a wide variety projects uch as Sand Art, Scratch Art, Sculpture Mediums, Clay, Fabric Painting, Print Making, Copper Tooling, Collage, Weaving, Marbleizing, Mask Making, Solar Printing, Book Making and Trading Cards and much more.

How does KidzArt inspire creativity and self confidence?

The KidzArt Method(TM) is an inspiring format and structure that sets the stage for creative exploration and problem solving. Classes not only teach the elements of art and design, but also exercises group and individual creative thinking. Both problem solving and creativity builds self confidence in every child as they grow and develop artistically.
